La Nostra Storia

The Hands Behind the Table

Behind every Alloro journey stand two hosts, one family table, and a promise: Italy as it is lived, not as it is toured.

Benvenuti — welcome to our table.

Roots

Raised at the Table

Alloro Travels was founded by native Italians passionate about culinary preservation. Ours is a conviction inherited rather than invented: that food is memory, and that a country’s recipes deserve to be kept alive at real tables, in real kitchens.

[Fill this chapter’s personal memory from the live editor — the region you call home, the kitchen you grew up in, the people who first taught you to cook.]

The Turning

Bridges, Not Barriers

As mass tourism swept past Italy’s greatest treasures, we chose a different road: to create bridges between intimate travel parties and the master artisans, winemakers, and cooks who keep centuries-old crafts alive.

We unlock doors to centuries-old country villas, historic cellars, and secluded family kitchens that remain entirely closed to mass tourism — not as guides at the front of a group, but as family introducing friends.

The Sanctuary Today

Come as Guests, Leave as Family

Today every Alloro journey remains 100% family-owned and handcrafted: exclusively private micro-groups of two to eight guests, direct partnerships with artisans and winemakers, and a deep respect for the Slow Food Presidia that protect Italy’s rarest ingredients.

We never act as commercial guides; we welcome you as friends into our family’s sanctuary.

What We Believe

Four convictions set every table we host.

100% Family-Owned & Handcrafted

Every journey is designed, hosted, and personally guaranteed by our family — never franchised, never outsourced.

Exclusively Private Micro-Groups

Two to eight guests, never more — small enough to be welcomed into kitchens and cellars as friends rather than visitors.

Direct Artisan & Winemaker Partnerships

We work side by side with the artisans and winemakers themselves — no intermediaries between their hands and your table.

Honoring Slow Food Presidia

Our menus and visits are built around the Presidia that safeguard Italy’s rarest ingredients and the people who raise them.

What guests say after they have sat with us.

Eine unvergleichliche Reise. Mit Nonna Maria handgemachte Pasta zu rollen und gereiften Barolo zu trinken, war der Höhepunkt unserer Reisejahre.
